Relay for Life
Merillat is proud to be the #1 corporate contributor in the country to this team event to fight cancer. Currently in its fifth year of participation, Merillat contributes to Relay in a variety of ways, culminating in a 24-hour walk to celebrate survivorship, remember loved ones, and cheer on those who are currently battling this horrible disease.
Other Merillat fundraisers for Relay include:

- Jean Day (employees "pay" to wear jeans on Fridays)

Junior Achievement
Merillat’s partnership with Junior Achievement of the Michigan Edge has Merillat employees teaching economic education programs at two area schools. The partnership has grown over the past two years, and Merillat is now the Title Sponsor of JA’s annual Grand Prix event, held in conjunction with the annual Maple City Festival.
The funds raised during the Grand Prix pay for training and materials for over 7,000 students in Lenawee County schools.
Junior Achievement of the Michigan Edge is dedicated to educating and inspiring young people to value free enterprise, business, and economics to improve the quality of their lives.

Boys & Girls Club
Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Merillat have teamed with Boys & Girls Clubs of Lenawee to provide "Club Tech," which enables Clubs throughout the nation to establish technology centers, create relevant curriculum and provide program management and computer training for staff. Club members have access to technology for discovering and exploring the world around them.
The purpose of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lewanee is to promote the social, educational, health, leadership, and character development of boys and girls during critical periods of their growth. Boys & Girls Club provides:
- A safe place to learn and grow.
- Ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals.
- Life-enhancing programs and character development experiences.
- Hope and opportunity.
