Masco Builder Cabinet Group Makes List of Top Places to Work for Six Sigma Professionals

ADRIAN (Mich.) – Masco Builder Cabinet Group, parent company of Merillat and Quality Cabinets, was named to iSixSigma’s list of 10 Best Places to Work for Six Sigma professionals.

“We take very seriously the Six Sigma business philosophy of focusing on continuous improvement by understanding our customers' needs, analyzing business processes, and instituting proper measurement methods to sustain enhanced performance,” said Karen Strauss, Masco Builder Cabinet Group President. “And we do all of this with our valued employees in mind. The list was sponsored by iSixSigma.com and iSixSigma Magazine and received more than 50 nominations from around the world. Only sixteen companies nationwide met all the requirements. Each participating company completed surveys involving the senior Six Sigma leader and full-time Six Sigma personnel. Companies were ranked by totaling the scores from the two surveys.

According to iSixSigma, Masco Builder Cabinet Group was chosen because it set the standard for what makes a great place to work for Six Sigma professionals. The company fosters a supportive culture for Six Sigma, develops their Six Sigma talent through training, and offers career advancement opportunities, among other positive attributes.

Masco Builder Cabinet Group will be recognized at a ceremony during the iSixSigma Live! Summit ’09 on Jan. 15, 2009 at the Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. The No. 1 iSixSigma Best Place to Work will be announced at the ceremony.
