Back Panel
1/4" thick, 50-pound density engineered wood extends all the way to the floor to give the entire cabinet box extra strength and stability.
Bottom Panel
1/2" thick 48-pound density engineered wood for extra strength and rigidity. Dado joints and adhesive attach bottom panel to end panels.
Braces
Corner gussets give added strength to the entire cabinet.
Doors
Doors are 5/8" thick 48-pound density industrial grade engineered wood or medium density fiberboard. Sundale, Milbridge II and Pemberton II are 3/4" thick solid wood doors. Doors have foam pad bumpers to dampen the closure noise.
Drawer Construction
Full-depth, 1/2" thick 4-sided engineered wood drawer. All corners of the drawer core use rabbet joinery secured with adhesive and staples.
Drawer Front
Drawer fronts are 5/8" thick 48-pound industrial grade engineered wood or medium density fiberboard. Sundale, Milbridge II and Pemberton II are 3/4" thick solid wood drawers.
Drawer Guide System
Sidemount WhisperGlide drawer guides deliver a smooth opening and are load rated for 75lbs.
End Panels
Cabinet end panels are 3/8" thick 48-pound density engineered wood.
Front Frame
Double-doweled front/solid wood frames (superior to glued or pinned cabinetry).
Hinges
Self-closing concealed hinges come with a limited lifetime warranty.
Interiors
All cabinet sides, bottoms and shelves have moisture and stain-resistant easy clean interiors.
Roll-out Trays
Roll-out trays are optional on Merillat Essentials® cabinetry.
Wall Cabinet Shelves
5/8" thick, half depth adjustable shelf in base units. 5/8" thick adjustable shelves in wall units. All shelves made of engineered wood.
