Back Panel

Wall backs - 3/8" engineered wood; base backs - 1/4" engineered wood, extends all the way to the floor to give the entire cabinet box extra strength and stability.*

Bottom Panel

1/2" thick engineered wood, joined to end panels with dado joints and adhesive.*

I-Beam Braces

I-beam braces provide full-depth stability and strong anchor points for countertops.

Doors

Doors are 3/4" thick engineered wood or solid hardwood. Clear pliable round shaped bumpers to dampen closure noise. Wood doors feature hardwood stiles and rails with solid wood center, or veneer center panel. Laminate doors feature an MDF core.

Drawer Construction

5/8" thick, solid hardwood drawer cores with dovetail joinery for improved strength and durability over traditional joinery methods. Plywood bottom helps resist sagging.

Dovetail Standard Construction

Dovetail joints are created when two parts are brought together, one part with slots created by cutting angled pyramid holes, the other with pins to fill them.

A dovetail joint is considered to be one of the strongest joints, with the pieces coming together and locking for tremendous durability and length of life.

Drawer Front

Solid hardwood or laminate drawer fronts.

End Panels

Cabinet sides, or end panels, are 3/8" thick engineered wood. With the All Plywood Construction option, end panels are 1/2” thick furniture grade plywood.

Front Frame

The solid hardwood front door frame is 3/4" thick.

Door & Drawer Front Joints

Miter

Created for the purpose of framing a decorative front, this joint is made by bringing together two parts at equal angles to form edges.

This creates a clean design and adds to the construction strength by increasing the surface area where joints come together.

Mortise and Tenon

A joint made when the tenon (a portion of wood cut so that it is jutting out from the larger block) is placed inside the mortise (a cavity created to hold the tenon).

This joint is created to fit together, strengthening the bond between them, creating long-term durability and a natural strength.

Hinges

Soft-Close hinges standard with six-way adjustable, and come with a limited lifetime warranty. Available in both full and traditional overlay doors.

Interiors

All cabinet sides, bottoms and shelves have moisture and stain-resistant easy clean interiors. Matching interiors are standard on glass door cabinets.

Roll-out Trays

Most Merillat® Classic base cabinet single roll-out tray standard, provide half depth storage and easy access. Optional standard and deep roll-out trays are available, as well as full depth shelf option.
