When remodeling an older home like the Kuppersmith, the goal is to add features that increase everyday functionality for modern families while selecting styles that complement the home’s original character. Merillat integrated smart storage solutions and work spaces into the Kuppersmith home, with door styles and finishes that beautifully suit its Tudor heritage.

To solve the issue of no guest closet in the front entry of the Kuppersmith home, Merillat created a functional space to hang coats and store shoes. Since this space is next to the living room, the open wall shelves can also display decorative items and add to the aesthetics of the room.

The Kuppersmith kitchen is full of functional accessories like Merillat's deep drawer peg board and roll-out trays to make it easier to work in the kitchen. To create an even more functional kitchen space, Merillat has created a separate prep station for coffee, microwave and extra pantry storage. The Maple Chiffon cabinetry gives this storage space a freestanding, furniture appeal.
