When a painted door is specified the drawer front, door stiles, door rails and/or door center panel may be constructed of a paint-grade substrate. A paint-grade substrate is a material that helps provide resistance to warping, expansion and contraction.

For a full list of finishes options, please see Merillat Finish Options page with a complete list of Merillat offerings.

Painted

Several coats of heavily pigmented stain saturate the wood surface for a rich coverage of color.

Stained

Stained finishes enhance the unique characteristics inherent in each door and drawer, bringing out the natural beauty of the wood grain.

Glazed

Highlight glaze is skillfully hand-applied to the recessed areas of the doors and drawer fronts for a subtle accent.

Thermofoil

Thermofoil doors provide a uniform look from door to door. Thermofoil material is applied to medium-density fiberboard (MDF) using an intense heat and pressure-bonding process.

Laminate Options

Laminate

Laminate is a Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF) with a thermo plastic polymer wrap that covers the face, back, and inside edges of the door or drawer front rails, stiles, and panels.
